Computer programming, or coding, is a crucial tool in today's world and has the potential to play a significant role in reducing poverty in developing countries. In these countries, poverty is often a result of limited access to resources, education, and job opportunities. However, coding can help to break down these barriers and provide people with new ways to improve their lives.
Firstly, coding can create new economic opportunities for people in developing countries. Coding can help individuals and businesses participate in the global market and increase their income by providing access to the digital economy. This can lead to job creation, particularly in the technology sector, and help to reduce poverty. In addition, coding can also help improve businesses' efficiency and productivity, which can lead to increased profits and growth.
Secondly, coding can improve access to education and information. In many developing countries, limited access to educational resources can hinder the development of knowledge and skills. However, through coding, people can access a wealth of information and educational opportunities online, helping to close the education gap and promote equality. This can lead to improved employment prospects and increased income, which can help to reduce poverty.
Thirdly, coding can help to address social and environmental challenges in developing countries. With coding skills, individuals and organizations can create technology solutions to tackle local challenges, such as improving access to healthcare and clean water, reducing waste, and mitigating the effects of climate change. By using technology to solve these problems, coding can help to drive sustainable development and improve the lives of people in these countries.
Finally, coding can also promote innovation and creativity in developing countries. By teaching coding skills and encouraging innovation, individuals can build their own technology solutions and bring their ideas to life. This can promote entrepreneurship and foster a culture of innovation, which can positively impact these countries' economic and social development.
In conclusion, computer programming has the potential to play a significant role in reducing poverty in developing countries. By providing access to the digital economy, improving access to education and information, addressing social and environmental challenges, and promoting innovation and creativity, coding can help drive sustainable development and improve people's lives in these countries. Governments and organizations must invest in coding education and infrastructure to ensure that everyone has access to the benefits of technology and the opportunity to improve their lives.
In this sense, AVA allied with the Mexican Civil Association: Lazos Altruistas y Labores Altruistas (https://asociacionlamexico.org/) so that all the NFTs are created from different computer coding training courses.
Lazos Altruistas is a non-profit association registered under Mexican law (by the National Institute of Social Development and the Tax Administration System) and authorized to receive tax-deductible donations from Mexico or the United States.
This alliance aims to provide computer coding training to adolescents and young people from 15 to 22 years old belonging to indigenous communities or vulnerable groups enrolled in face-to-face programs at the upper and higher secondary education levels in academic institutions of the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez and who reside or have been born in the most marginalized communities.
This program will aim to develop generic competencies, skills, aptitudes, and attitudes that enable adolescents and young people to build in the personal and professional sphere, thus reducing poverty levels in southeastern Mexico.
30% of the value of the NFT will go to the Civil Association to continue with coding program courses.
